Back from Vacation in the D.R.!!

Well, we made it back from the D.R. It ended up being a very eventful trip. The roads there are worse than Detroit's in the winter as we found out. The bus drivers race through narrow streets just missing the buildings and motorcycles. There were no traffic lights or stop signs, apparently they are not needed!?
The drivers explained that they drive "nice and crazy, but you do not see any accidents".

Vamos!! Hope you enjoy the pics. The Zip Line and Horseback riding was really a lot of fun.

The Best Part: being together and an extraordinary pool!

An Ode to College/Vacation/Hockey wonders

Since it is now July, school has been out for about two months and honestly... I am ready to head back up to Tallahassee. That or head to a foreign country for a week and completely enjoy the sun and the various beings that the beach has to offer. I'll go with the latter choice. So... Hello Dominican Republic!

After missing last years extravaganza in Cancun (due to my relentless desire for expanding my educational horizons), I am finally able to be a part of this trip! So suffice it to say, I am quite excited. Now if I show up in the next week or so and curse the sun for my red, sun-damaged skin... you'll know why.

Ahh... now many know that I am quite a hockey fan. Even though I started truly paying attention to the sport at the beginning of last summer, after the Detroit Red Wings won the 2008 Stanley Cup. I was intrigued by the Pittsburgh Penguins and begun to research them and eventually was won over. I now root for the Penguins (much to the distaste of some of my relatives) and was quite pleased when they won the Cup last month. Mom can vouch for me. I was throwing random chrushed water bottles around the hotel room we were in as the clock beat down to zero. Oh, that and dancing in my 4 inch heels that I refused to take off. Well, since then I have ordered two shirts and the Championship DVD of the Penguins. Hopefully I will have them after we return from the D.R. -- if so then I will have pictures of them.

I would like to keep up with this throughout the year. I am better at being on the computer than my mother is. I am a college student. Thats my life. But... all for now.

Au revoir, jusqu'à la fois prochaine.
